‘Intuitive Eating & Body Liberation’
As we navigate the journey of healing our relationships with food and our bodies, the comfort and support of a community of people that feel similar or familiar is an invaluable asset.
This community (Launched Feb 19, 2025) is here for connection, support, and resource sharing for LGBTQ+ people and allies, with a commitment to authentic inclusion.
Our core principles are based on healing through the lenses of anti-diet/diet culture, intuitive eating, and HAES (Health at Every Size) - allowing people to find true well-being.
Fill out the form below to be invited to the community.
Please note - the community is currently in the Slack app (which is available as a phone app, on your browser, or as a desktop app).

IEBT Community Guidelines:
Use respectful & inclusive language
This community is for LGBTQ+ people and allies, is trans-inclusive, and honors and respects intersectional identities (race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, etc.) and how they may impact our challenges with food and/or bodies. Any members who engage in harassment, bullying, or other violent language of other community members will be removed at will by Community Admin / Moderators.
Avoid diet and weight talk / stigmatizing language
In order to protect all of our community members, there can be NO discussion of diets, “wellness” trends/lifestyles (e.g., keto, paleo, etc.), calorie/macro counting, intentional weight loss, and other related topics that counteract Intuitive Eating & Health at Every Size principles. Avoid terms and language that are stigmatizing, shaming, or reinforce harmful stereotypes about food, body size, or health. Members will receive a warning, and are subject to removal from the community.
Respect privacy and confidentiality
What’s shared here stays here. Avoid sharing any personal information or stories from this group without permission.Practice non-judgment and compassion; focus on support
Approach every interaction with empathy and understanding. Offer support and encouragement rather than unsolicited advice. If someone asks for advice, be mindful and considerate in your response.Trigger warnings and respecting boundaries
If you’re sharing something that could be triggering (e.g., discussions of eating disorders, abuse, etc.), please add a content warning at the beginning of your post. If a member expresses discomfort or asks to stop a conversation, other members are expected to honor that request. We aim for a space where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and respected.Celebrate all wins and progress, big or small; avoid competition
This is a space where every step forward is worth celebrating. Let’s uplift one another for the strides we make. Everyone’s journey is unique so we avoid language that creates or insinuates competition.Stay Open and Curious
Embrace learning and growing together. This is a space for everyone to explore without fear of judgment.
